Long Focal Wall

We are picking paint colors for our new house and I was thinking about putting a darker color on 1 wall in our great room as a focal wall. The wall I was thinking about leads into a hallway to the front of the house. I highlighted it in our floorplan here: http://j.mp/dFviko

Would this be too long of a wall to be a focal wall?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums!

You can make any wall the accent or focal wall color. Generally it's a shorter wall but there aren't any rules If you have a color you think will work - go for it. The worst that can happen is you don't like it and have to repaint that wall. Compared to most any other changes you can make to your house - paint's cheap
