Question Help! Need to paint molded plastic (fisher price toy box)

I just bought a Fisher Price Toy Box that is made of the molded plastic. I want to paint and decorate it for an upcoming baby shower. What is the best paint to use so it will not peel off and be safe in a baby's room.

Welcome to the forums!

Krylon makes some spray cans that are formulated for painting plastic. There are probably others as well.

Can you spray paint it...or will it need to be brushed?

The Krylon Fusion paint works very well for several types of plastic that that I have painted. Problem might be the "striping" effect you can sometimes get on larger flat surfaces when using a rattle can.

I am painting on the baby's name so I wanted to do it by hand. I think I want to do the impossible again.

Latex paint would probably work the best. It should adhere ok providing the plastic is good and clean [including removing any cleaner residue]
