Restain and refinish wood (fir) doors
I have several dark walnut stained six panel doors. I would like to restain them with a lighter (medium) wood finish. Is this feasible or am I stuck with the dark finish? If feasible, please tell me best process. Thanks

It can be done but it won't be quick and easy. You'll first need to use a stripper and scrape off what you can of the finish and then sand to remove the rest. Typically, stripped doors/wood doesn't accept stain as well as new wood but since you intend to go light, that shouldn't be an issue.
I don't know if it would help but a fresh coat of semi-gloss or gloss poly/varnish often reflects more light so they might not appear as dark.
