Advice on painting chairs and table.
Hi, I have just bought a restaurant in Crete. It is out doors right on the coast.
It has chairs that are made of hard wood. I have just sanded them down. I would like to know what would be best to paint it with.
They will be out side in the sun. I was thinking to paint them a cream white.
So would a water paint or oil paint be best. I would like to paint it with something that makes it easy to repaint next year. Because now the sanding took me 3 weeks.
And what would be best for the table top. I would Like it the same color as the chairs but was wondering if I would have to paint the top with something to protect it from rain, spilled drinks etc.
Well hope you can give me some advice
thanks

Oil base paints dry to a harder film and will offer better protection than the softer latex paint. Often latex paints will weather better than oil base. I've never been to or painted in your country so your best would be to go to a local paint store [preferably one that's main business is paint] and ask them what would be best for your application.
