I have an old dresser that I sanded down. I am ready to paint but my husband thinks I should put something on it to help put moisture back into the wood. Is this necessary? Would lemon oil be a good choice? Would it cause a problem with the paint adhering to the wood?

No lemon oil!!! Prime with an alkyd oil primer and top coat with latex. You are right...the oil would create a bonding problem, big time! Good Luck!
