We built a deck a bit ago, and my boyfriend found a gallon of stain on sale for $5 and decided to go for it, we tested it out and it looked quite pink, but we went ahead with it...

It looks terrible, we found out it was basically terra colored, so now we have a very pink, actually its exactly salmon colored patio.

We will let it sit for a while and see what happens, but is there anything we can do? I will sneak a photo later.

I would pressure wash the deck, pick a different color & use it.

Any stain that only cost $5 [even if it was 1/2 price mistint] won't last very long. I'd reclean and restain. What type of stain was it? I'd rarely ever recommend using paint on a deck.

Removal of grease on a wood door HELP

I foolishy allowed my wife to give me a method of removing grease from a wood door we recently installed in our basement. I used Skin so Soft and it removed the black portion of the grease but left an oily spot. I have tried Fantastic and lastly alcohol to remove it but with only limited success. Is there any satisfactory way to remove the oily spot on the door. I plan to stain it and then put clear varnish on it. Any help would be appreciated. Using MODAC as stucco primer

I asked my local Sherwin Williams for a real good primer for my knock-down stucco house and they sold me 15 gal. of MODAC Acrylic Texture Coating (smooth) for my 3200 sq ft. They also said it would work for priming my wooden eaves. Now after reading the product specs I see it's an extremely thick coating covering less than 100 sq ft /gal and is a one coat or final coat material. Can this be thinned to use as a primer and be a good primer and thinned enough to shoot with a non-industrial sprayer? Specs say thinning not required for the smooth (med & coarse say do not thin).
