Paint mixing?

Maybe a dumb question but anyways....No Beer 4U

I've got 2/3 of a bucket of a light pink in eggshell latex. My wife wants it a touch lighter. I want to know if I could add a little latex semigloss in white to try and achieve the result. I don't mind if I come up with a throw away color by mistake I just want to know if the eggshell and semi gloss latex will mix properly. obviously I'd end up between eggsghell and semi gloss for sheen.

Thanks!

You can mix latex and latex no matter what the sheen is, the same goes for all paints that have the same base [clean up or use the same thinner] When you mix 2 different sheens you need to make sure it's mixed well so the sheen will be uniform. Make sure you mix up enough as it is unlikely you or a paint store could match the now custom sheen.

You could do this but you'll probably never be able to match it down the road for touch-ups.
