Paint Roller Trick?

Ok I'm just wondering why the roller cover always seems to move toward the open end of the roller as you paint with it. Is there something I'm missing here? What am I doing wrong, I always have to push the cover on every time I reload with paint.

There are several possibilities. The roller frame could be worn out [or inside of roller cover too] Often it's caused by use of a cheap roller frame or budget covers.

I agree.
I had the same issue with a cheap roller frame then purchased an $18.00 one with a hardwood handle and haven't had a problem since!

Seems like everything is cheap nowadays. Only tip I would have with your current roller is to keep the open end of the frame pointed in the direction you are working. That way as you roll left (for example) with the open end of the frame pointing left, the force of you rolling to the left will be pushing the roller ON instead of wanting to pull it OFF.

They also make some "cheap" cages that have a "tab" on the tip, that helps keep the roller cover on the frame.
