Staining over Paint
Help!
Painted Island then antiqued with a stain...
Stain won't dry...sticky and rubs off...even after a few weeks of drying time.
What do i do???

Welcome to the forums!
Most stains are formulated to suck into raw wood and don't dry well if applied over sealed wood. You should be able to take a rag wet with mineral spirits and scrub off the stain. Once you get the stain removed you can get a glaze tinted to the desired color and apply it over the paint.
