Can't figure out paint ideas
My husband and I came up with the idea to sort of do a Baltimore Raven's theme bedroom just via paint color/window coverings. Since our furniture is black we want to pick a deep purple for the walls...something that isn't too girly. I'm not sure if I should just do an accent wall or paint the entire room that color. Then also had the idea to paint a couple horizontal -black- stripes also. But again..not sure if I should just pick a wall or do the entire room. Also the trim on the doors and windows is white, should I paint that black to match if I painted the entire room or leave it white? I'm thinking it may be too dark with all that.

Welcome to the forums!
A lot depends on the room and the lighting. Dark colors tend to work best in larger rms. Lots of light helps to keep a dark rm from looking dark and uninviting. Generally I prefer to paint the woodwork the same throughout the house.... if after painting the dark colors the woodwork looks odd - paint it. If you just go with an accent wall - leave the woodwork white.

IMO, you'll feel like you're living in a bat cave.
Consider just using the purple on the soft furnishings (curtains, comforter, pillows) and accessories and even a dark purple area rug. Keep the walls and woodwork light. This way, when you get sick of the dark purple, it'll be easier to change.
