I removed the wallpaper from my living room walls to discover that one of the walls had not been sized. The wallpaper removed some of the paint underneath so now the wall is blotchy. Other than sanding (first w/a coarse then fine paper), do I need to have the wall skim coated? I've had different painters out who have all differed in their opinions. Help!!!! The final wall will be painted. I'm done w/wallpaper!!!!

mscorian, Did you tell the painters what the final wall was going to be or did they guess? That may be why you got various answers(LOL)....Tell us what the final finish is and I'll bet you get some straight answers...Mike
