Paint off Concrete?

So the previous owners painted the side/face of my front step and it really doesn't look good as it's peeling in some spots and just a bad color too. I've tried scrubbing it with a wire brush, mineral spirits, paint thinner, and a can of Zinsser Power Stripper and no luck.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

thanks in advance!

I'd brush on a coat of paint stripper, let it work and then clean it up with a pressure washer.

tried paint stripper

and no luck....and I'd have to rent a pressurewasher. Any other methods that may work?

Maybe you could borrow a pressure washer. I use my pressure washer with a turbo nozzle to remove paint in my pool when it's time for painting. We used to sand blast it but it made an awful mess.

Sometimes it can take repeated applications of the stripper to remove all the paint. The more porous the concrete is the more difficult it will be to remove the paint. I suppose you could repaint if the stripping process isn't to your liking. Possible reasons for the paint peeling; cheap paint, paint applied to a wet or dirty surface, paint long past the expected life of the paint job or even the wrong paint.
