Appliance Epoxy Spray Paint - will it stop rust?
I have a washing machine that is developing a few rust spots. A few on the underside and edge of the lid, and two inside the metal "tub".

I was thinking, if I clean the rust as best I could, can I coat something on top of these rusty spots and prevent further rust? I was looking at this product:

It does say it's "ultra-hard, moisture resistance enamel" but obviously is designed for the outside shell of washers, dryers, fridge etc...
Any chance this may work? If not, any other recommendation?
Thanks in advance.

You would first want to remove the rust and use a rust inhibitive primer. That coupled with the appliance paint should stop the rust from returning. I don't know how well it will hold up on the drum.

I would say give Marksr's recommendation a try on the lid. I think it will be more trouble than it's worth to attempt anything on the drum since you'd almost have to disassemble the machine to properly clean and paint it. Or, in the drum you could just clean and scrape away what rust you can reach and apply oil based rust inhibiting primer with a small brush.
