painting door suggestions please
Where I work we have this ticket booth of which is has not yet had the exterior door or frame painted. Fairly certain it came from the factory pre-primed and ready to paint if desired, but nobody here can make a decision what colors (the green trim color or the siding color of the booth) might look best/appropriate here. Paint the door the trim green and paint the door the color of the siding, or vice-versa? Paint the door trim and leave the door white? I realize what looks "best" paint-wise is often subjective, but just want a sensible scheme that doesn't somehow "stand out" as seeming unusual. By the way, the exterior wall windows are the white vinyl and we don't plan on painting those. Any suggestions or comments otherwise appreciated. http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/b...psf508b6f5.jpg

Well, no reason you couldn't paint it all white to match the windows, but barring that, door same as siding, leave frame and trim white or paint green. Either way...the frame around the window in the door should match the door trim and frame.
Big help huh?
Do you have someone that could Photoshop your pic so you can see what looks best?

Thanks Gunguy. I'll take your suggestions under advisement. Yeah good idea about "photo-shopping" the whole situation and going from there with various combinations. I'll ask our resident photo-geek about it. Will post results.

I'm sure the painting info that came with the door is long gone but you should be able to get info from manufacture if known. The main reason I say this is because some doors have the warranty voided if the wrong paint is used! Latex paint usually works well on all metal doors and shouldn't void the warranty.
IMO white looks best but green might look better longer as fingerprints around the door won't show.
