Not sure if I understand what you are asking

Not all caulks are paintable. I usually use a steady hand and quality brush to either paint the caulk or cut it in clean. A damp rag can be used to clean paint off of where it doesn't belong.

There is no clear latex caulking that I've heard of.
If you used silicone caulking at the top of the enclosure, big mistake, it can not be painted.

Joe, there are clear latex caulks. They come out of the tube milky but dry clear, I have seen them cloud up when they get wet but clear up again when they dry. They are paintable but don't paint as well as regular white latex caulking does.

examples;
3006 All Purpose Adhesive Caulk
ASI 146 Acrylic Latex Caulk
Dap ALEX PLUS® Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus Silicone, Clear - 10.1 fl. oz. - Tools - Painting & Supplies - Caulking
