Paint or Stain a Deck

Which is better, I guess paint last longer?????
How much a hour does a pressure washer get to do my deck?

Paint might last longer but it requires a primer and when it fails, you need to scrape and prime before you can repaint. Stain is almost always a better choice for a deck! A solid stain looks similar to paint.

Labor prices [and decks] vary so the only way to find out the cost is to get multiple estimates. PWers can be rented if your interested in diy.

Stain is my vote.

On new decks I like to use a semi-transparent to let the grain show through but solid body on an older deck. As Mark mentioned, solid body is going to be the longest wearing stain.
