Design problem: front door color + side door color = disaster?
I have a little design problem. I have a front door that doesn't face the street. The front door actually faces towards the driveway. I have a kitchen side door that also faces the driveway. Although the front and side doors don't face the street, you can still see both doors from the street.
The house is blue. Both of the doors are white. I want to paint the front door a yellow color. My family thinks that it's going to be ugly if I just paint the front door a different color from the side door since you can see both doors at the same time. They think I should paint both doors. Are they right? What color(s) should I use?

While I agree with your family, there are no hard fast rules! Why not paint the one door and see how it looks. Paint is probably the cheapest way to change the looks of your house - don't be afraid to experiment.
