I recently bought a home that has wood blinds on all windows (24 windows). They are currently a cream/off-white color. Because the previous homeowner was a heavy smoker, they have a darker tint to them. I want them to be white, to match our freshly painted trim. What is the best method of converting these smoke-stained, off-white blinds to a pure white color blind???? Can they be painted or bleached??? It would be very expensive to replace all blinds with white blinds. So I want to explore this option first!! Need some advice and direction...thanks in advanced DIY'ers ;) Chris

Hello, Got a spiral stair on backyard . Painted last year with water base paint , after I removed most of the rust and insulated with a clear antirust coat. A year later the metal stair has a lot of rusted spots and i'm ready to painted again. This time I thought to take advices from you guys on what paint to use ( water or oil base) and how to remove the rust, should I remove(strip) the old paint, what is the best rustprove primer...... ???? Thank you
