Talking Mistakes can become great ideas!

Many times when a mistake is made the combinaton of the mistake and correction create something better than we would have had without having made the mistake. You have several options here, none of which get you out of work. But it can be fun! You could rag, sponge, whisk, stripe, marble, comb or roll and splater. Even use a squirt gun to add a little color to the existing paint. You could use a different color that is in the room on top of the green, this will tone down the color because it won't be so visible. I recommend looking a brochure at your home center to get ideas and to see what some of these techniques should look like once completed. One is by Infinity. They have all the techniques (except the splater and squirt gun) in it. Good luck!
