I am trying to decide what to do with the wood walls in my living room. I am not sure what would be easier to paint over my wood paneling or to strip and refinish them. I have vaulted ceilings, so no matter what I do it is a large task. I am curious to see if anyone has pictures of wood paneled walls that have been painted. (This is 80's era picture-frame wood paneling with a dark stain.)

No need to strip, what you need to do is clean thoroughly, sand lightly with a 220 grit, you can make minor repairs with shrink-free spackeling, bigger repair with carpenters wood filler, sand smooth after dry, clean away all dust and prime with an oil based primer such as Kilz or Zinnser's BIN. Caulk it up with a PAINTABLE latex caulk smoothing with a wet finger and clean up any excess with a damp rag, allow to dry and paint 2 coats with a quality latex wall paint.

Sorry, I have no pics. Hope this helps.
