Ryobi paint sprayer problem

Hi All,

I got a used paint sprayer RAP200. When I got it the guy turned it on and seemed to be ok. I tried it now but it trips the GFCI outlet every time (tried different outlets). The first time I tried it lasted a few seconds but now not even a second. I am thinking it is a pressure problem but I have it set to "prime", so I believe no pressure is built.

I never used a paint sprayer like this one, so I am not sure what could be wrong

Has anybody had a similar problem? What can ?I try to fix it (if fixable)

Thanks in advance

Are you trying to pump anything thru it? or just turning it on empty - they need paint or thinner for a lubricant.

No, water is fine. Have you tried it on a non GFI outlet?
