Advice for DIY dummy: Repairing chips in thin interior wall

So Jr managed to make quit a few minor chips in an internal painted wall. No major damage but looks awful. What's the best way to repair these small holes? Also, what the best way to source a matching colour of paint (no idea what colour/brand it was originally painted with).

Welcome to the forums.

If you need to match the paint, best would be to take some of the chips to a paint store.

Repair depends on the damage - may need a little spackle, may need a skim coat of joint compound, might get by with just a little sanding and new paint.

Thanks for the feedback. Judging by the size of the marks (the biggest would be 1cm x .5cm by a few mms deep), I guess spackling would be in order?

Bringing a chip of paint to the shop is a good suggestion, cheers.

Eh, I think I'd buy a small pail of mud (joint compound) and skim coat that area. Then prime and paint.
