Waterproof paint for sheet metal. Bitumen, Chlorinated rubber, epoxy, others?

As I've posted in other threads, my current project involves some pumps and unwanted holes in the floor and wanted holes that don't open etc.

To close up the unwanted hole, I've got some 9ga sheet metal, that will be anchored to the floor and covered with remesh and concrete. I want to paint it to provide what rust protection I can manage.

What is the recommended paint for this purpose?

which thread are you referring to ??

Most any solvent based primer and paint will protect metal from rust. To waterproof the metal you need to seal the perimeter and/or any protrusions in it. While some paints help to seal a substrate I wouldn't rely on paint only to make the seal.
