Painting extruded aluminum

I have a screened in lanai, it is framed with brown extruded aluminum that is about 25 years old. Still in solid condition but very weathered.

I would like to spray paint this with something that will hold up well such as an equipment enamel with hardener. All I see is gloss paint, gloss would not look good.

Any suggestions on a flat brown paint for this project. Jim

I doubt you can get industrial or equipment enamel in anything but gloss. You could buy a gloss modifier to add to the paint [only available at some paint stores] but paint with the modifier added generally fades sooner when it's exposed to the elements. You might be able to find a satin exterior enamel in the color you desire.

Latex paints work well on aluminum.

Thanks for the response. I would have liked to keep this original looking, looks like my options are replace the aluminum $$$$$$ or paint the same color as the house trim with Sherwin Williams $

A satin or semi-gloss latex paint are the closest sheen wise to most aluminum finishes. Adding Flood's Floetrol to the paint will help the paint flow together well to help reduce/eliminate brush marks. Aluminum paints well - it just needs to be clean.
