Can anyone suggest something I can do to a laminate bench top which is reversible to mark an area?
I'd love to be able to allocate a "gluten here only" zone on my bench top to prevent cross contamination of food when guests visit, but I'm concious that if I ever sell the house having a bit of bench a different colour or material from the rest may not be well received.
Can anyone suggest a way to do this semi-permanently? I want to have a permanent solution but without damaging the beautiful white 'wood texture' laminate on my bench top.
Thanks in advance!

Painter's tape?
I don't think your idea of preventing cross contamination in the same room is feasible, though.
