Anybody got a good technique for painting around a wall mount for a 48" TV?

There is just no way I can take the mount itself off the wall, I'm lucky I can get the TV off the Mount itself. The mount (which I should have taken pictures of to post, but am at work right now) is a rectangular bracket fixed to the studs with bolts; but it has a X crossing and holes in the metal so you can see the wall color; Just painting around it could take most of an afternoon but I don't see any other way to do it. Any suggestions?

You only have to paint around it, not inside it, right? Sorry but I must be missing something because I can't see how that would take any length of time.

If you can get the TV off, removing the mount is usually easy. The TV is the hard part...
If you really don't want to remove it, at least consider backing the bolts out enough to slide the mount out 1/2 inch or so, it'll be worth the effort. If all else fails, mask off everything but the wall plate and paint that to match the wall.

I'm having a hard time seeing where either painting around it or removal would be a big deal. If you post some pics it will give us a better understanding with what you are dealing with and the best way to approach it.
