Question

I have installed sheetrock (or, drywall, is there a diff?)on walls and ceiling in a small room (14 by 12)but will be unable to do any taping, mudding, sanding, until this fall. Maybe I could get the first round of taping and mudding, but definitely no sanding till fall. (New baby in house.)

Is this ok to leave it till then? Will there be any problems? Could/should I just paint the sheetrock with primer, till I can complete the project in the fall? My thought is the primer will protect the sheetrock and is better than leaving it exposed, but would this create any problems with the taping and mudding later on?

Thanks.

dave houlihan, You have the right idea. Do use a good primer like Zinsser 123 so you will not have any lifting problems as you fill the rock. Drywall/sheetrock...same thing..Mike
