I'm a new homeowner -- trying to "Do-It-Myself". I painted the outside trim on my kitchen windows last fall, including the sill, then forgot and shut the windows. It is spring and my windows are now painted shut. How do I unstick them? I used latex paint.

I usually run a knife blade around the outside edges cutting any paint sealing the window to its frame.
Then from the inside, hit the window with the palm of my hand...Err,not the glass!!
I suppose you could open with a 6" long piece of 2x1 wood against the window and tap the end with a hammer starting at bottom working your way up.....I SAID ...TAP!!
