Question

Didn't get any action on this in the "walls" forum - perhaps someone here can let me know what I might expect...

Are there any ways to minimize damage to plaster walls when removing paneling and molding? I'm concerned that pulling out nails will cause pits (or worse) in the wall surface. Also, concerned about tearing up the corners of arched passageways which will have molding removed. Anyone here have experience with this? Regards...Iceman

Really don't know any magic ways to do it. There's going to be some repairs necessary after you've finished. Only thing I can recommend is to take your time, get an assortment of flat pry bars and work slowly.

Good luck,
Sonnie
