Question When can you paint pressure treated wood

I am installing some PT on a deck. How long do I have to wait before I paint with a water base paint.

On a deck I would recommend a deck stain instead of paint! Either way you need to wait for the wood to dry out from the pt process. It's somewhat dependent on how wet the wood was when installed and the environment it's exposed to. It could be as little as 6 weeks or as long as 6 months.

One more vote for stain over paint.

If you do paint, you need an oil based primer first.
