This is in regards to painting aluminium siding.

1) how can you patch small screw holes in the siding before painting ?

2) What is the best paint to use?

3) Do I need a primer cat before painting?

4)If I use a primer coat do I need two coats?

Note> The siding has never been painted before and is 30 years old, no peeling or flaking.

emilysarah, I think caulking would work for small holes. Use any high quality 100% acrylic latex paint. Sherwin-Willaims A-100 Satin would be a great choice. If you wash with TSP to clean and dull 2 coats of paint will be all that is needed. If you want to use an exterior latex primer one coat will be enough topcoat as long as it covers. Do make sure you get the best primer you can afford.....Mike
