Stained Concrete Kitchen looks like a child drew it 😵

We’re working on staining our kitchen floors. The 12 year old
vinyl was gross. We pulled it up, removed the adhesive w a stand up concrete grinder and angle grinders, cleaned with Neutra-clean and then laid down two different colors of Kemiko concrete stain with all plastic pump sprayers, waited 8 hours and then neutralized.

The results are so so. I think we need to add another color to get the kind of depth we’d like. I’m not 100% sure if we can just layer it right on top and if we do, what’s the best pattern to spray it in - just coat everything? Avoid the areas we want the other colors to come through? I want a softer transition between the colors and I’m wondering if wetting the floor a bit before we put the third color on will work. I have two pics. One is the color we like and the other is the color we currently have. Trying to figure out the best way to add them. Thanks in advance for taking the time to help out. If all else fails we’ll be putting tile down!

still no pics, here are some instructions How to insert pictures.

Acid stains react with the concrete to give the different colors. I suspect your lack of depth might be because you haven't sealed it yet.
