Paint Brands (Confusing - Please Help!)

Looking for a high quality paint for my bathroom. While consumer reports rates Behr Premium Plus Ultra highly, consumers review it very low. There is conflicting info everywhere on all brands! Can an experienced painter recommend what they feel to be durable, stain resistant and high quality. I don't mind putting a few coats on. I just want to match my sweat equity with a good product. Thanks!!

Thanks. Doesn't look like they're in Pennsylvania. Would Sherwin Williams be up there in quality?

Welcome to the Forum!

Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore.

We don't have that brand over on the east, Ron53.

Pratt Lambert, the best I have ever used!

I keep hearing how that Bear crap is award winning, just do some searching on this site and read the horror stories!

Big box paint depts generally sell coatings based more on low price than quality. Most paint stores will have good paint, just don't buy their bargain basement coatings.

Mark makes a great point - buy your paint from a paint store and not a paint department but don't use a low-end coating from any store.
