How to remove stucco from my walls?
I want to remove the stucco off my bathroom walls. What is the best approach?

I assume you are referring to the inside walls?
A lot depends on what the material is, how the walls were, or were not prepped.
Id start with a stiff putty knife and maybe a hammer and go from there!

Stucco is Portland cement plaster. There are instances of this being used in bathrooms. I am guessing by stucco you refer to the texture rather than the material. Start by scraping what you can. It is usually easier to smooth over a rough texture than remove it. In a bathroom you should use a setting type of joint compound Durabond by USG is most durable but hardest to work with and nearly impossible to sand. So use a product like EasySand by USG it is a bit more amateur friendly and easier to sand. It might take more than one coat. When it is perfect (or good enough to suit you) then paint with a good paint that will withstand the moisture conditions in the bathroom. If you have real stucco, Portland cement plaster don't try to remove it. This is a can of worms best covered over.
