Tape to use on Aluminum Siding

Am putting up Christmas lights around my exterior windows that are framed with aluminum siding. Need a tape that will hold the wires in the cold, but also readily de-attach.

I would not use tape. Anything that can hold well is also going to be difficult to remove. There are many different types of plastic clips available that I would try to make work.

Use 3M command hooks to hang them.

I also would not use any type of tape.

Unless you want to clean every area with alcohol when you take them down.
Even if you do not see it tapes leave a residue. Then a year later you will see where they were, the residue will catch and hold dirt.

..... and depending on how old the aluminum siding is tape could pull off some of the factory paint.
