Question

One of my 1920's interior doors and door frame has a coat of semi gloss latex paint over them. Under the paint is the metal which within the past 10 years was protected by some sort of clear protective coat. The only thing I know about the metal is that it's magnetic.

Is there any way to remove the latex paint without disturbing the clear lacquer or polyurethane or varnish on the metallic surface?

Thanks for all the advice here.

i have insatlled a spa, with a 3/4hp pump for the spa. If the pump unit is above the spa? Is the pump strong enough to circulate the water and push water through the jets? i am getting nothing right now and i just want to know if i should move the unit? Do you think there mabey another problem I should look at first.
