Question

I am trying to cover-up or paint a wall of dark fake wood paneling. It is that decades old dark fake plastic-like wall coering, and seems like taking down is out of the question. It has dark veritcal lines that divide it up into wood looking sections. I would like to know if plain old paint is enough to cover up, or if there is some type of product that i can use to cover it up, then paint? It does cover an entire wall(about 8' by 25' or so). Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hello,

maybe removal isn't as difficult as you think. It would be good to know if there is sheetrock behind? then it's a simple matter of floating a new texture (after priming) over the sheetrock and painting. Let us know more... plenty of pro's watching this forum to help out.
