Paint for concrete
I have an unfinished basement with no plans to finish it. The 8" poured concrete walls are painted with 35 year old DryLok. The paint has held up well but is showing it's age. The basement had 6-8" of water in it for a couple of weeks and after that it flooded on two occasions. The paint is discolored all around the bottom and it has yellowed over the years. I want to repaint it. I'm inclined to go with the DryloK but I am wondering if there is a newer, better, easier to apply product to use. Any suggestions?

I have always used Loxon products for any concrete painting. Hope you don't have to do too much prep.

Prep is always very important for any painting project. I would pressure wash the walls, then thoroughly dry them before painting. If you have a sump it can get rid of the water for you or you can use a wet/dry shop vac.

Mark - My basement is normally dry but we had a fire and the firefighting water ended up in the basement. The company that we hired for mitigation took a week to get it out. Then the basement flooded twice when my contractor failed to get electricity restored and we got heavy rains and there was no power for the sump pump.
The paint is still well adhered to the walls it's just discolored. I'm planning on wire brushing it.

Then you should be able to use most any latex paint including drylok.
Drylok isn't really intended as a finish paint and is prone to get dirtier quicker than most interior wall paints.
