I have a number of plastic plant pots and would like to know if it is possible to spraypaint them another color. If so what type of paint should be used.
thank you

The problem with painting plastic items is that plastic is made from petroleum, and the paint wont stick to the surface. Even if you rough up the surface with heavy sandpaper it will still peel off like an onion peel. When I was working in a copier remanufacturing plant we had to go to xerox and pay them for the chemical process that bonded the paint to the plastic so we could paint the old turning yellow panels. Just had a thought, model cars and airplanes are mostly plastic, you can buy model paint at the hobby store or Kmart/walmart and put it in an airbrush and paint the flower pots. That should work.

brian.

p.s. I think you can buy it in spray cans aswell so you dont have to buy an air brush.
