Need advice on pine wood walls

We built house 3 years ago using pine wood interior and water based polyurethane over. I had a clock on the wall for first couple years and now when I take clock down it leaves lighter outline of clock on wall. How do I get rid of it and make wall all the same color any advice would be appreciated thank you!!

I'm not aware of any good fix. Left uncovered those areas will slowly begin to look like the rest [make take yrs] I have fogged those areas with tinted poly/varnish which done correctly will hide the effect but I've always wondered if those touched up areas would show darker yrs down the road.

Leave the clock off, wait 3 more years and it will all fade and get less obvious as time goes by.

Leave the clock off the wall or put it back and don't take it down again. This is normal.
