Question

I am using some new bare MDF for shelving and would like to paint it black.Wanted to use gloss black lacquer spray paint.Any tips or suggestions for prep to achieve a durable finish? Thanks,

Buddy,
You should be able to spray away as is. The MDF has no saps
to come through to the surface and the lacquer will stick to the paper covering on the MDF. I have both painted and used water base poly without problems.

fewalt,thanks.Haven't sprayed MDF before so thought I'd ask.
I have lots of painted MDF in my home in the form of loudspeakers,but have a newfound respect for this product because it is straight,has no knots,and has a perfect surface to finish.Well,here I spray!
