How can I tell if I successfully removed the wallpaper glue from the walls before I paint. Should I prime the walls? Will that help cover any glue that might still be there?

yeah, i would just go ahead and use primer on the walls. i just finished removing all the wallpaper in my bathroom and then i used texture paint on the walls. i didn't worry very much about the leftover glue and things seem to be fine. just make sure you got all the little pieces of paper off, they can cause problems.
