what do you do to prepare a wall for painting after removing paper. step by step please, you're dealing with a hopeless cause.

beccao, The first thing that must happen is all of the paste must be removed. Thats a mouth full no doubt! If not discoloration and bleeding through the paint is almost certain. Let water and paste remover if needed do the work. Wet and let set, rewet, let set and at some point the paste should shave off with a drywall knife say 6" wide or come right off with a sponge. Always a good idea when you think your finished is to go over all with clean water. After this do any patching etc...Mike
