Angry Latex over oil. Please help !

The previous owner of my house used an enamel latex paint over the trim that was originally painted with oil-base. As I'm sure you probably already know, the latex scratches off with almost no effort. Can someone give me some ideas of how to remove the latex ? Thanks.

Mixed Bag of Answers.....

Good evening woody1822, There is no one answer for this problem but I'll give it a go. Some of this stuff will sand off where other times a scraper is the way to go. If one of these don't cut it go to a stripper that is put on a rag(where gloves and ventilate) and rubbed on. A gel stripper is great if it won't wipe right off. Brush the gel on and let set. When the paint is free, which should't be long, wipe off.....Mike
