Painting a textured ceiling.

My husband and I would like to paint the ceilings in our home, but with them being textured, we just don't know how to go about doing this. Any clues? They've never been painted since the original paint job and are in desperate need. Thanks...........

use a big fuzzy sheepskin-like roller or a wagner sprayer
