Lightbulb Need paint color help

Help me! I don't have a decorating bone in my body and want to do some creative painting in my townhouse. We've lived here for 2 years and are looking at probably a couple more, so it has to be likeable by the masses. It has an open loft and very high ceilings so painting won't be easy and will cover a vast amount of area regardless of what wall I pick.
If anyone has any advice I would be eternally grateful!

Exclamation get help!

I have done a fair amt. of painting in my home and proffesionally. I recomend you get someone to help you, at least hire someone for the high walls! It is really scarey up on those tall ladders 16 ft or more and it is easy to hurt yourself. I am a real "do it yourselfer" but if I were you I wouldn't risk a fall.
I would choose a ragging technique of a soft color over a lighter color to create depth in your space. You might be able to do this part yourself. practice on boards (poster) or on a garage wall before doing this on your inside walls!
God Bless

Where is my spell check when I need it?!
