Bad Dog!

Had to fill a dog-damaged-door-frame with wood putty. Do I use an oil-base primer before painting, or would latex be ok? I am using a latex paint to finish, this could be applied over the oil primer if thats my option. correct?

lmichael, Latex paint can go over oil or latex primer. If you don't fear bleeding from oils or many other things latex primer is fine. If there is any doubt about bleeding or bonding oil primer is the way to go....Mike
