Question Color Blocking

Can you give me some idea how to decide how much of the wall the block should take up and color schemes for this? I need measurements and ideas on how many colors to use (2 or 3), etc. Basically I don't know where to begin and cannot find any other information on the net.

Thanks.

not sure what you are asking for...

Dana,

I'm not sure what you are asking for. It sounds like you want to paint the wall so it looks like a brick wall. Is this correct?

No, I want to paint a large rectangle on the wall at an angle starting from the corner at the floor to maybe a little above center. I just wondered what proportion to make it as to the wall size.

Sorry, I can't help with that...

You need an artist, not a painter. Perhaps some how-to art books would be of help. Maybe you could check with the art department of a local college? We can tell you how to apply the paint, but not much help with the artistic aspects.
