we bought a house that has the kitchen cabinets painted white. I am wondering is there a way to strip all the white paint off the cabinets and restore them to their natural wood finish?:confused:

We are repainting several interior walls in our house. The basic underlying structure is drywall. I began scraping loose paint and ended up easily scraping off all of the paint in several rooms down to the drywall because it was all very loose. The only place the paint stuck was over the joint compound and old spackle. We now have part drywall and part painted joint compound. We're unsure now how to go forward without having to :mad: scrape the paint that actually stuck. We're assuming no primer was used in these rooms initially. Our goal is that the old textured paint in these areas not show through our new paint job. We, of course, will use primer to solve the problem. We plan to sand down the areas around the old paint. Should we do any more prep before we begin with the primer or will one layer of good primer and one layer of good paint solve the problem?
