Urethane coat over paint in living room?
I have a big dog that lies up against one wall all the time. Therefore, the dirt gets rubbed right into the wall and I can't scrub it clean for anything. Right now the walls are a dark grey, I want to repaint the living room a white or yellow. Can I coat the whole room in Urethane so that I have a better 'scrubability' factor?

I wouldn't attempt that. Urethane and paint don't always mix very well. Try a more durable enamel on the wall, either oil or a latex. The higher the sheen, the easier it is to scrub clean. You may need to compromise on the acceptable sheen vs. the ability to keep it clean. You could even use melamine if you like. Or, you could do a technique, a faux finish on his favorite wall, it'd help hide the dirt.
